Studio Darrow designed the Café Rando Patrimoine inside a former mining site in northern France: the “9-9 Bis” pit.
Reuse, recycling and ecology are at the heart of our approach. We reinterpreted the region’s iconic materials, brick, slag heap stone, workwear blue, to create a space deeply rooted in its territory and aligned with the values of the ALL brand.
THE DESIGNER'S WORD
"Our creative approach is rooted in reuse."

Description of the project
At the heart of this living space, a large custom-made table and site-specific seating form the central element of the room.
The table’s shape is inspired by the surrounding hiking trails, evoking a subtle sense of “circuit”.
More than a reception hall, this space is designed as a place for daily life: meetings, lunch breaks, interviews, open to all, year-round. Illustrations by Nicolas Kfoury celebrating the region’s mining heritage bring the whole space to life.
